Samples & Ordering Information

Greetings can be recorded to say whatever you want. Start by
cellphone2
developing a script that includes all the info you want your caller to receive from the message. For some, this may just be a brief statement identifying the mailbox owner and requesting that a message is left. You can get as creative as you would like here though.

Add in extra details for the callers such as the address for your business website, hours of operation, advertise services, and list other methods of contact. You can script it however you choose. Try listening to some of our sample greetings to get ideas for your script if you need.

Don't forget, YouMail messages need to be under 45 seconds and you also need to consider the attention span of your expected callers. Write your script and read it over a few times to see how it will be received by callers. Listen to a few of the sample greetings for ideas and then read on below the samples for a few tips on writing your voicemail script.

A few things to consider:

-People won't be hearing your voice on the message, so you may want to avoid using something like:
"This is (your name here)"

-A more common option is to start with something similar to:
"Hello, you have reached the voice mailbox for (your name or company name here)"

-Also, you may want to start directly with a company name such as this:
"Hello, you have reached ABC Property Management Services...."

-Should you include the phone number in your greeting so callers can verify that they have reached the number they intended?

-Do you want music?
For most people, music adds that little extra "produced" sound. You can choose a sound file on the ordering page to be your backing music for your voicemail greeting. Just as you can hear in our sample greetings, the music will come on and the volume will lower as the words begin, then go back up at the end before fading out.
